Composed by Jovino Santos Neto. Like all tracks on this recording, this starts with a free improvisation leading to the theme, which I composed in the late 90s as a bossa nova ballad. It is still a favorite of mine. The melody and the harmony play hide-and-seek with each other, driving the music and inspiring the improvisation that leads back to the theme. At the end a rhythmic groove grows out of the closing chord.
